Cookie Policy

We store on your device only what is necessary for the website to work, plus one functional cookie — only with your consent. We count visits without cookies, and there are no ads or external tracking tools.

This is a translation. The Polish version is the binding one.

01

What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of text data that a website stores in the browser. Thanks to them the website can, for example, remember the language and theme you chose, or recognise that a submitted form really came from it. The controller of the data stored and read in this way is ITCompass Artem Shevchenko (Katowice, NIP 6343060594); we describe the details of personal data processing in the Privacy Policy.

02

Which cookies we use

This is the complete list of this website's cookies. All of them are first-party (set by itcompass.io); none comes from an external company.

No choice has been made yet — the banner asking for your choice appears at the bottom of the page.

Apart from cookies, we use no other identifiers in the browser: there are no tracking scripts, no browser fingerprinting and no advertising pixels.

03

Categories and legal basis

  • Essential — the operation of the website, the security of forms, and remembering your choices (language, theme, the banner decision). They are exempt from the consent requirement under Article 173(3) of the Polish Telecommunications Law, so we set them without asking. You cannot switch them off in the website settings, but you can block them in your browser — some features will then stop working.
  • Functional — a cookie thanks to which, after you subscribe to blog notifications, the form does not appear again. We set it only with your consent (Article 173(1) of the Polish Telecommunications Law and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without consent the website works the same way — the form will simply return on your next visit.
  • Analytics and marketing — we do not use them. We run visit statistics on the server side, without storing anything on your device — we describe this in the Privacy Policy.
04

How to change or withdraw consent

On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom of the page with a choice: “Accept all”, “Essential only” or “Customise”. We store your decision in the cookie_consent cookie for 365 days, after which we will ask again. We will also ask earlier if the set of cookies we use changes.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time and as easily as you gave it: with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of every page or with the button below. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before it was withdrawn.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and others have this in their privacy options). Blocking essential cookies may cause the blog form to stop submitting, and the language and theme will not be remembered.

05

Changes and contact

When the set of cookies changes, we update the table above and the date of the document, and the banner asks for consent again. Send questions about cookies and personal data to contact@itcompass.io.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and one functional cookie — the latter only with your consent. Visit statistics are counted on our server, without cookies. Cookie Policy
